Our team is critical to the success of each project. Our wide range of skills play a key role at every stage. We love collaborating with others and know how important it is to forge strong relationships. We’re proud to be located in such a vibrant, innovative community like Taranaki, and enjoy supporting our own back yard.
We’re always striving to do things better. For that to happen, we need to learn, observe, listen and act. This makes construction and spaces safer, quicker, more cost-effective, of a higher quality and environmentally sensitive.
In order to leave the world in a better place for generations to come, we have to take action now, and we’re committed to the challenge.
We strive for excellence in all that we do. We understand the critical role we play in the success of projects and love the challenges that come with it.
We love the challenge of coming up with architectural solutions. No residential project is too small or too big. We tackle a variety of commercial projects, sometimes pulling together the right skills from all over the country. We’re experts when it comes to schools, both in an architectural and project management capacity. We love to dive into the interiors of spaces, from spatial planning and fitouts, through to the finer furniture finishes.
We were first established as Ardern Peters Architects Ltd in 2000. It was a small practice located on Powderham Street in New Plymouth, with a strong grounding in Ministry of Education based projects. Things evolved from there.
We’re still here on Powderham Street, but we’ve become Architect People. We’ve grown a bit more, completed some cool projects and we’ve upgraded our HQ.
Why Architect People? It’s who we are. We’re people, who are architects, who love working with other people.
It takes a team to bring successful projects to life. People are at the centre of the brief, the process, and the final product. We value the role every person plays.
We’re architects and designers. We’re also potters, wood workers, readers, walkers, runners, gardeners, gym bunnies, travellers, mums and dads. We all have competitive spirits. We all love architecture. We all look forward to chatting with you about your next project.
